Our flexible study model combines the freedom of distance learning with the contact and deepening possibilities of a classroom study via our onsite sessions. Within this framework, studies can be pursued in a full-time study format or part-time format.

The semi-virtual educational concept provides students the opportunity to engage in employment parallel to academic studies. It also takes into consideration their professional experiences and prior career-related knowledge for the enhancement of dual academic learning.

Objectives, contents and methods of the semi-virtual programs makes it possible for distance students to maintain their professional work during their studies. These specific conditions at the University of Applied Management promote the development of social skills and managerial responsibility of the students.

The application-oriented media-based teaching concept puts the students in the centre of the learning process. UAM organizes this learning process with the help of various communication and information tools. Onsite phases offer the necessary social exchanges, encourage and guide the students on their path to a successful graduation. Learning progress and success are continuously reviewed in order to organize the learning processes in an effective and targeted way. These semi-virtual studies offered by UAM are comparable in both objectives and content to similar programs offered at a traditional onsite university.

The University runs two semesters in an academic year

• Winter Semester: October to February
• Summer Semester: March to September

Full-Time

• Regular study period Bachelor programs: 6/8 semesters
• Standard period Master’s programs: 2/3 semesters

Part-Time

• Regular study period Bachelor programs: 12/14 semesters
• Standard period of study Master’s programs: 4/5 semesters
