ABOUT GREATER ACCRA
The Greater Accra Region is the most urbanized region in Ghana with 87.4% of its total population living in urban centers. The capital city of Greater Accra Region is Accra which is at the same time the capital city of Ghana.
The Greater Accra Region occupies a total land surface of 3,245 square kilometres. This is 1.4 per cent of the total land area of Ghana. It is the second most populated region with a population of 5,455,692 in 2021 according to the Ghana Statistical Service, accounting for 17.71 percent of Ghana’s total population.
It hosts the main banks and department stores, as well as the Ministries, where Ghana’s government administration is concentrated. Economic activities in Accra include the financial and commercial sectors, fishing, and the manufacture of processed food, lumber, plywood, textiles, clothing, and chemicals. Tourism is becoming a thriving source of business for those in arts and crafts, historical sites, and local travel and tour agents.
ARRIVAL AND PARKING
Our campus (with google location 5.69967, -0.25919) sits on sides of one of the buzzing green-hills of the Kwabenya Hills community, which is a Kilometre off the University Junction (opposite Rasta Bar) along Kwabenya – ACP Overpass.
The University Junction is a 1.5 Kilometres to/from Kwabenya and 2 kilometres to/from Pokuase-ACP Junction. Anyone from Accra Central Business District via Circle via Achimota or Kasoa-Awoshie, Nsawam-Amasaman can use the Pokuase-ACP link towards the University Junction.
Visitors from Adenta-Madina, Dome, Tema can use the Atomic-Kwabenya link to the University Junction.
